The Southington Citizen is a free weekly newspaper that is delivered each Friday to every home and business in Southington, Plantsville, Milldale and Marion.

What can you expect from The Southington Citizen each week? The answer can be found in our slogan: "Your Town, Your News." We not only provide the hard news that you expect to see in your local newspaper, but also welcome the news that's important to you.

Residents are encouraged to submit photos and information about events that are important to them. We want to hear about the milestones in your life and give you the opportunity to share these occasions with your neighbors. We encourage you to submit birth announcements, anniversaries, weddings and engagements. Don't forget to include your photos.

If you're not sure what information you should include in these announcements, don't worry. We have easy-to-follow forms that you can obtain by calling our office or sending us an e-mail.

If there's something going on in town that you think the community should know about, call us and let us know. You'll see that we also provide sections for sports, churches, businesses, schools and seniors.

Finally, what would a newspaper be without the opinions of its readers? Our editorial page gives residents the opportunity to share their opinions and ideas with the community. Send us a letter and let us know what you think.
